This guide will show you how to restore a bank account that has previously been archived in Xero’s demo company. Before restoring the bank account, we need to ensure it is archived. If you have not already archived a bank account in Xero’s demo company, please follow the steps in our tutorial on how to archive a bank account in Xero before going any further.
How to Restore a Bank Account in Xero
After you have archived the Business Savings Account in Xero’s demo company by following the steps in our tutorial, go to Settings → Chart of Accounts from the main menu:
Next, click on the Archive tab to bring up a list of all general ledger accounts that have been archived:
If you followed the steps in our guide on how to archive a bank account, you should see the Business Savings Account at the top of the list. Tick the checkbox next to the Business Savings Account to activate the Restore button. Click on Restore to remove the account from the archive:
The bank account should now be restored. If you click on the All Accounts tab you should see the Business Savings Account near the top of the list of general ledger accounts:
Congratulations! You have now restored the bank account from the archive and it can be used again.
