Xero Bills – How to Print a Bill


If you need to print out or save down a PDF copy of a bill in Xero, there is a simple process to follow. In this tutorial, we will create a PDF copy of a bill in Xero that can be printed out, saved down, or attached to an email.

Purchases Section in Xero

To get started, go to Business → Purchases overview from the main menu:


Next, click on the Awaiting Payment section to see all the bills that have been created but not paid:


How to Print a Bill in Xero

For this tutorial, let’s create a PDF copy of the first bill on the list. First, tick the checkbox on the left-hand side of the bill row, then click the Print button above the list of bills:


A pop-up box will appear asking you to confirm your print selection. Press OK when you are ready to create the PDF:


A PDF file should have been saved to your device. Finally, you can open up the file to check that it is the bill you’re after:


That’s all you need to do to create a PDF copy of a bill in Xero. You can now print out the bill, save it anywhere you like, or attach it to an email.
